Highlights since high school
Life is busy in a good way.
After graduating from Bullard, I attended Fresno State, where I majored in Liberal Studies with a minor in Business.
I married in 1992 and, in true “go big or go home” fashion, had three kids in just three years—1994, 1996 and 1997! I was fortunate to be able to stay home with them while they were young, which was one of the most rewarding chapters of my life.
Once my kids were older, I went back to school and earned my teaching credential. I spent more than four years as a substitute teacher before taking an analyst position with the County of Fresno.
In 2016, I made another big move and relocated to Chico, California. I’ve been working for the City of Chico since 2017 and am currently a Management Analyst in the Public Works Engineering Department. Somehow, my career has taken me from liberal studies and teaching to contracts, budgets, engineering and government—definitely not the path I would have predicted back at Bullard!
These days, life is busy in a good way. I love visiting my three kids, who are scattered between San Francisco and Napa Valley. I also enjoy traveling, playing trivia with friends, hanging out with my cat, Lilly, and, most recently, discovering pickleball. I’ve been playing for about a year and am having way too much fun with it!
Forty years later, life certainly hasn’t turned out exactly the way I imagined it would back then, but I’m incredibly grateful for where life has taken me. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with old friends, hearing everyone’s stories, laughing about the good old days, and finding out who else still remembers what happened at Bullard…or at least who is willing to admit it!
