Highlights since high school
A life centered on education, service, and connection.
Since graduating from Bullard, I earned a BA in Deaf Education and an MA in Special Education. I spent about 25 years as an elementary school teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I have lived for the last 32 years.
Life has taken many unexpected turns along the way, including meeting my husband on OkCupid. As it turns out, the site really did know what it was doing; we were and still are a perfect match!
These days, I’m enjoying more time to focus on the people (elderly parents, etc.), activities, and the things that matter to me. I stay active and tolerate working out, and I’ve become passionate about helping people stay strong and healthy as they age.
I also devote a significant amount of my time to volunteering with a nonprofit organization, where I’ve had the opportunity to take on leadership roles, work with incredible people, and help strengthen an organization that means a great deal to me.
More than anything, I’m grateful for the friendships, experiences, and challenges since high school. It’s been quite a journey!
